The PRU in Harrow is seeking a committed SEMH TA to join them on a full-time basis starting in September 2024. As a SEMH TA, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support and guidance to students, helping them overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities as an SEMH TA in Harrow:

* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, assisting them with academic tasks and personal development goals.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued, supported, and respected.
* Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCO, and other staff members to develop and implement individualized support plans for students.
* Implement behaviour management strategies and techniques to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
* Act as a mentor and role model for students, inspiring them to overcome challenges and pursue their aspirations.

Requirements as an SEN TA in Harrow:

* Previous experience working with young people with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students and colleagues.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of young people.
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and respond effectively to changing situations.
* Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training in areas such as behaviour management and safeguarding.
