Caitlin Merrin Caitlin Merrin

I joined Academics in February 2021 after 2 years recruiting experience in the Cyber Security industry. I work with Primary Schools across the boroughs of Ealing, Harrow and Hillingdon, supplying them with daily supply, long term supply, permanent teachers & support staff. Having lived in Ealing & West London for over 6 years, I have great knowledge of the local schools, transport links & surrounding area. I thrive on matching the great people with the perfect school!

Health and fitness is a major passion of mine! If I’m not at my desk, you can catch me on a long walk – making sure I hit my daily step goal or smashing out a workout in the gym.  I am also known for my love of festivals & music events and try to attend at least one a month.

Jessica Thomas Jessica Thomas

My name is Jessica and I joined Academics in 2022. I resource Primary and Secondary Education staff for our schools in East London.

I have an entire education background with a degree in Education with Special and Inclusive Education, and even went to Sri Lanka to teach children English. I began my career in construction recruitment and now use my education expertise to recruit teachers and teaching assistants.

Outside of work, I am a social butterfly and absolutely love going out – I cannot say no to a night out…ever.

Elizabeth Barker-Green Elizabeth Barker-Green

I joined Academics in March 2012. I am the London Academics Branch Manager and also recruit education staff for our Primary schools in Wandsworth, Lambeth, Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea.

I have three children and have experienced first-hand, the fantastic education provided by our Primary schools here in London. My aim is to provide teachers and education staff that are passionate, enthusiastic and ready to put in the hard work to ensure children get the best start possible to their education.

I work with a range of amazing Primary schools that provide high quality CPD and mentorship. I secure roles for teachers and teaching assistants  who are newly qualified, as well as those who are moving up in their careers, looking for more responsibility or are ready for next steps into middle management and senior leadership.

When I am not working, I like catching up with friends and family, cooking, reading, Yoga and taking our dog Hero out for walks!

Hamzah Miah Hamzah Miah

Hamzah joined Academics in November 2020 as a Resourcer for our Primary and Secondary schools in Central and South London and really enjoys being part of the team. Hamzah goes above and beyond for candidates, by taking time to get to know the teachers and support staff he works with, and listening to what they are looking for. In his spare time, Hamzah enjoys playing football and going to gym. He also spends a lot time with his family and loves taking care of his youngest brother who has Autism.

Yasmin Boffa Yasmin Boffa

Yasmin is a Principal Consultant on the Primary Team and works with primary schools in East London. Yasmin joined Academics in April 2016 as Resourcer and Compliance Administrator which gave her an excellent rounded knowledge of what to look for in suitable teachers, senior leaders and support staff. Yasmin progressed to a consultant in October 2017 and has since looked after schools in Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Havering & Essex. Being originally from East London, and ‘Awesomestow’ as she likes to refer to it as, Yasmin thoroughly enjoys finding suitable staff for local schools so that she can give back to the community in which she grew up in. Prior to joining Academics, Yasmin worked for the London Borough of Waltham Forest as a qualified Careers Adviser, working with Secondary Schools, Colleges and Job Centres. Yasmin is a huge family girl at heart and enjoys walking her dogs Woody, Buzz and Dolly. Despite being a young adult, Yasmin is often described by her team as being ‘an old head on young shoulders’ and it wouldn’t surprise us if she is a secret knitting fan sat on her rocking chair on the weekends!
